Rafael de Freitas Souza
Sou doutor pela Faculdade de Economia, Administração, Contabilidade e Atuária da Universidade de São Paulo (FEA/USP) e professor na área de Ciência de Dados na Faculdade de Economia, Administração e Contabilidade de Ribeirão Preto (FEARP/USP). Também sou professor do Programa de Pós-Graduação Interunidades em Integração da América Latina da USP (PROLAM/USP), que é administrativamente vinculado à Escola de Comunicações e Artes da Universidade de São Paulo (ECA/USP) e do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Controladoria e Contabilidade (PPGCC) da FEARP/USP. Meus interesses de pesquisa se concentram na aplicação e no aprimoramento metodologias científicas e no uso de métodos estatísticos, matemáticos e computacionais para compreender comportamentos sociais (i.e. quantitative social science). Possuo ampla experiência em programação aplicada à coleta, tratamento, análise e visualização de dados, com ênfase no uso de técnicas de Machine Learning, Deep Learning e análises espaciais. Também sou autor do livro Data Science, Analytics and Machine Learning with R, distribuído em 60 países pela Academic Press; e da library overdisp for R, módulo computacional registrado pelo CRAN (The Comprehensive R Archive Network). Por fim, também sou Membro Titular do Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa da Faculdade de Filosofia, Ciências e Letras de Ribeirão Preto da Universidade de São Paulo (FFCLRP-USP).
