Programs in Brazil vary within 4 and 5 years minimum to get the degree and the student needs to write a final paper to be able to graduate. This kind of program is similar to what in Europe is considered graduation and master degree. In Brazilian master’s programs, students are supposed to write a dissertation (or thesis in the USA) and defend that in front of at least three professors.
