Foreign candidates have two ways to do their Masters and PhD in Controllership and Accounting. The faster and more secure, due to the issue of relocation for the foreign student, is through the PEC - PG program. This program (Scholarship Program for Fulltime Postgraduate Courses) is run by CAPES (the Federal Agency for Support and Evaluation of Postgraduate Education), and provides the foreign student with support to resolve the visa and scholarship issues in order to reside in Brazil. This process depends on approval by CAPES and approval of the candidate by the coordinators of the Masters. Information regarding the PEC - PG Program at the CNPq site and to PhD at the CAPES site.
The second possibility for the foreign candidate, who, for example, missed the deadlines of the PEC-PG process, is to participate in the same selection process applied to Brazilian candidates, competing for the same number of places published in the Public Call for Candidates.
Those interested in applying for a scholarship through the PEC-PG or for the analysis of other types of scholarships for foreign applicants, should forward the following documentation to the Postgraduate Service FEA-RP, through the email firstname.lastname@example.org :
- research project;
- graduation history;
- two letters of recommendation from professors, researchers or people of recognized competence in the area;
- list of four advisors of the Postgraduate Program in Controllership and Accounting - in priority order (check the full list at Faculty).
