Our academic Masters in Controllership and Accounting has been training professors and researchers with a strong focus on empirical research. Diverse currents of theoretical thinking and varied research techniques are adopted, either for development of theories or for refinement and testing of applied models. After all, currently, Controllership and Accounting encompass critical issues whether for Private Corporations and Markets, for Public Organizations or for the Voluntary Sector.

The Masters course is free, with classes exclusively during the day (Monday to Friday), and requires from the student, as well as the weekly workload of disciplines, a dedication of 20 (twenty) hours per week for study and research.

 The Masters course in Controllership and Accounting of FEA-RP / USP received, in the last CAPES evaluation (2007-2009) a Grade 4 (scale of 1 to 5), being among the best Masters of stricto sensu post-graduation in Brazil. This evaluation is made by the Brazilian government through its Postgraduate regulation and support agency and assesses the postgraduate academic courses (Masters and Doctorate) in the whole of Brazil. The scale varies from 1 to 5 for postgraduate programs that have Masters courses. The highlights of the evaluation were the high scientific production of the professors and the number of students per professor.
